The Keep Charlevoix Beautiful Board & the entire community would like to thank the following for making the 2008 petunia planting picnic a success: SPECIAL THANKS to Kelli Kwapisz for overseeing the entire Community Picnic! She did a fantastic job!	The City of Charlevoix & The City Street Department Filed appropriate permits, placement of KCB banners, use of park, placement use and pick up of tables, garbage cans & refuse. Installation of and use of water spigot and traffic cones to block traffic. Changed procedures over this year to make communication more fluent.

Planting Day is Thursday, May 21, 2009!

Petunia planting always takes place on the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend (the planting date has been moved twice by one week due to freeze warnings). Some years we have had to postpone it due to weather factors.

If you would like to join in the fun, simply show up around 4:00 anywhere along U.S. 31 from the Charlevoix Inn (north side) to M-66 (south side) and look for an fluorescent tee-shirted block captain.

As always, planting will be followed by a picnic - one way the KCB board and many community businesses and organizations can say "thank you" to all of you who come out to plant with us.
